Our Franchise Compliance Commitment

Our Franchise Compliance Commitment

At Qargo Coffee, we believe the best franchise partnerships start with full information. This page explains how we follow the Federal Trade Commission's Franchise Rule today, and what our own FTC matter taught us.

Our FTC matter, in brief

In October 2024, the FTC filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida alleging that Qargo Coffee and its principals did not make required disclosures to prospective franchisees under the Franchise Rule. The matter was resolved through a stipulated order. You can read the public record on the FTC's case page.

We took the matter seriously. Rather than repeat past statements, we want prospective partners to see exactly how our process works today.

How we follow the Franchise Rule today

  • 14 days with the FDD. Every candidate receives our Franchise Disclosure Document at least 14 calendar days before signing or paying anything.
  • Complete Item 3 disclosures. Our FDD discloses litigation and government actions as required, including the FTC matter.
  • Earnings claims only in Item 19. Our team does not share sales or earnings figures outside Item 19.
  • Franchisee references. Item 20 lists current and former franchisees, and we encourage every candidate to call them.
  • Independent advice. We encourage every candidate to have a franchise attorney and accountant review the FDD.

Questions we welcome

Ask us anything in the FDD, including Item 3. Our franchise development team will walk you through it. We would rather you ask than wonder.
